Excellent beginner's guide on meditation

Excellent beginner's guide on meditation. I've tried meditation in the past using a web site called HeadSpace but had to stop when I got busy. This book has a mindfulness exercise that is only one minute long which means I really have no excuse not to do this every day. Longer exercises and a 30-day plan is also available in the book if I choose to take it further. I also like how the book includes tips on choosing the type of meditation music, where to meditate/how to create a meditation space, and other useful information for newbies. Overall a great read.

Best book on meditation I've read

I have already read several meditation books, because meditation is not something that you do once and then master it. It's like going to the gym - you have to do it constantly. I always try to improve my meditation skills. After reading this guide, I must say that it stands out from the rest by far.
After an interesting introduction that covers the history of meditation and the connection to buddhism, you learn different meditation exercises, that you can easily apply on your own. Furthermore the author provides great information regarding meditation music and other important factors that can benefit your experience. Overall the book is easy to understand and written in a very supportive tone. I am already into the author's challenge and so far it has helped me big time!
