Excellent Guide for Learning to Meditate & Why Meditation can Benefit You

When I was asked by the author to read this book and provide an honest review, in exchange for a free copy, my first thought was, "I'm not likely to be a good source to judge a book on meditation."
My second thought was, "How useful can a book on such a topic be?"
Still, after a short period pondering the two points, I replied in the affirmative to her earnest request.
As I commenced to reading her short, easy-reading booklet, I came to appreciate the advice the more I read. I also came to realize that I am far more experienced in meditation than I would ever otherwise would have.
See, I have always understood that meditation is synonymous with yoga. And yoga is definitely something I have no expertise in.
Rather than give any spoilers that might diminish your need or benefit from Meditation for Beginners, I shall stop right here, by stating, if you feel overwhelmed from your daily schedule at work or at home, learning to meditate might be a solution and, hence, this might be the perfect guide for you.

Great guide for anyone who wants to get into meditation

Meditation can be a super effective tool for reducing stress, relaxing and regaining focus. But boy, can it be hard. The mind has a propensity to wander off and it can be difficult to quiet it and force it to focus. As with anything though, practice makes perfect and the mind can eventually be trained to reach a meditative state more easily.
This book is a great guide for anyone who wants to get into meditation. It explains what meditation is and how best to do it. It describes several methods, such as breathing and sound meditations, fixed point meditations, using mantras and goal-oriented meditations. Also included are a few handy quick techniques to refocus when you're on a busy schedule.
If you're looking to pick up meditation and are interested in learning more about exercises to de-stress and relax, this book is a good pick.
