Zeki Saritoprak is associate professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies and the Beddiüzaman Said Nursi Chair in Islamic Studies at John Carroll University. He is the author of numerous works on Islamic theology in English, Turkish, and Arabic.

Dr Saritoprak is to be commended for his latest work on Jesus. The book mostly focuses on the Descent of Jesus in Islamic understanding (Yes, Muslims believe in the descent!). A must-read for individuals who would like to know more about Islam's perspective on Jesus, his teachings and descent

Timely and well-documented

This is a timely, well-documented, and important book that examines Muslim perceptions of Jesus. It discusses Islamic texts and their interpretations about the second coming of Jesus. It is a must read for those who study Islamic studies in general, and Muslim-Christian relations, in particular.

The book is good for both academic and common readers

Well-researched and well-written. Dr. Saritoprak not only provides information that is strictly based on primary and/or credible sources but also allows the reader to take away something for his/her daily life. On a contentious issue between two of the major world religions, he is able to chart a course for constructive discussion and dialogue. The book is good for both academic and common readers.
