From the Author
Danielle Bannister is a work at home mom of two small children living in rural Maine. She has her BA in theatre and her Masters in Literary Education and working hard on several other novels. She has written the first in this trilogy, Pulled, as well as a collection of short works entitled Short Shorts. Her work can also be found in the 2012 edition of The Goose River Press Anthology and the 2012 Maine Writing Project's Anthology, Writeous. She has also written Pulled, Pulled Back and Pulled Back Again

It's ten minutes to seven and my underwear has already climbed up my ass more times than people have climbed Everest. I would love to blame Victoria's Secret for selling me faulty '3 for $25.00 panties,' but let's be honest, I'm the one trying to cram my 40-year-old fanny into underwear meant for people who don't eat food. They just looked so good on the stark white, half-butt mannequin that I thought they would totally cover the square footage of my backside. I was grossly mistaken.As I yank the neon pink cloth from the depths no undies should go (again), I debate whether I should change them or not. On the one hand, it is only a first date. Wearing these will pretty much assure he'll be getting some because I don't intend to wear this torture device all night long for nothing. On the other hand, it is only a first date. Wearing some good old 'period panties' would guarantee that there would be no traveling South of the Elastic Band Border and my cheeks would actually be comfortably contained. Decisions, decisions. That's it. I'm becoming a nun. Nuns don't have to deal with this shit. They don't have to question how much wedgie-control is adequate for a first date. They can just sit in silence with no judgment about who they're dating, why their legs aren't shaved, or why they haven't had sex in two years. I know. I have issues. And a lot of toys.

Loved it!

I have read the Pulled Series By Danielle and it did indeed pull me in so even though this one is different and a standalone, I knew I would be hooked. I was so right!! It is completely different and I loved it.
Dee Is 40, single and ready to mingle! She has gone through a lot in her life and is ready to find love and even more. Dee and her friend Gail are out having fun and Gail comes up with a bet to get the ball rolling. Dee will need to ask out 26 men in alphabetical order in one year. If she does this Gail will give her $50K. This will also get Dee back into writing, something she hasn't done for years and Gail wants her to write about the experience. Dee knows Gail can afford to do this but still...it's a lot of money. Dee decides to take the bet because it can change her life and not just for meaningless things but for something she has wanted for a long time.
Of course, now that the bet has started her friends Gail and Neil try to help her complete it. Gail has even decided to do it along with her but for different reasons. During this time Dee finds out what she is looking for and what is definitely is not looking for in a man. She also finds ways to get the dates and check off those pesky letters. She also goes through some big life decisions and help Gail with some issues.
Will Dee find love before she get to letter Z? What will happen if she does find the man she is looking for but has to continue dating?
I loved this story because it was hilarious first of all. I was laughing so hard but it also has some serious things going on. But, since Dee and Gail have the best friendship ever they make each other laugh during the darker times. It was also emotional, yes...I did cry. This is not a sexually charged book, super romantic book and that was totally fine with me. I wanted to laugh and I did. Hard. It's about finding what you looking for even if later in life and friendship. Now, there are romantic moments and they are very sweet and fun.

Another great Danielle Bannister book

Danielle Bannister is an amazing writer and I love reading all of her books. Danielle has an amazing way of making you feel every emotion possible. When reading the stories you truly feel everything for the characters. In this story Dee feels down and out so she makes a bet with her super rich friend. I loved reading Dee's story. It was snarky and funny, there were also some sad moments. This was a great read and another great Danielle Bannister book.

My Review:
At last! A witty, snarky, and highly entertaining story with a main character who is a woman in her forties that is not someone’s mother or ex-wife. Hurrah. She has a job, a functioning brain, a sense of humor, and is trying to have a romance, I know, it is practically unheard of! I enjoyed this amusing story beginning to end and maintained a smile throughout and may even have barked aloud and fist pumped a few times. The writing is crisp, insightful, clever, and well-paced. This is my first time reading Danielle Bannister, but it certainly won’t be the last, I have a new favorite!
