Peace a liberating experience all desire. In Mindfulness the concept is to focus on the now – no dwelling on the past or anxiety of the future. I like to think of this as an advancement of the Buddhist practice of meditation. Quinten takes us on a powerful journey into attaining that mindful peace. In this resource adapted for beginners he teaches us meditation poses, however, he gives us what I feel is the best part of the book, ten exercises to deal with emotions such as breathing, listening, awareness, etc. As someone who works with children with special needs I found these practices very effective in calming anxiety. The author’s writing style is detailed but easy to read giving us the techniques and the ability to reach that desired calmness. A must read for anyone struggling with anxiety, depression or special needs of any kind.

Very helpful if you have anxiety!

I suffer from an anxiety order and have problems not worrying about things. I always think about the future and it ends up stressing me out but I didn’t know how to stop. After reading this book and learning new meditation methods and feeling calm and collected for the first time in a long time, I have to say this book is amazing. It taught me how to think about current things in life instead of the future and giving me more energy to go about my day with a positive attitude. Really helpful and interesting read.
