About the Author
John Herlosky has worked for two large metropolitan police departments as a police officer and academy instructor, has been trained in SWAT tactics, and is a designated marksman. He is considered an expert in the field of human performance technologies and has spent half his life in the martial arts. He was the codirector and cofounder of the nonprofit think tank, the Institute for Evolutionary Technologies, as well as the codirector of Project Trojan Warrior II, a mind-body integration training program. He lives in Monrovia, California.

INSIGHT ON THE STAR GATE PROGRAM & MUCH MORE

When I read the original manuscript for this book many years ago, I was stuck by the intense message and nature of what author John Herlosky was willing to share. HIs book is more than just a memoir from an important part of his life - it is an opening to a whole new world of thinking and how we actually look at life itself. I was moved and honored to have an early look at what the author was creating and volunteered to write the Foreword for his wonderful book. Now that I have the final finished and printed book in my very own hands - I am more than proud to be associated with with it.
This book is truly a journey of the mind and the spirit. John shares much and lets us peek into a world that was once a secreted project and weapon of the CIA and the military. The book is moving on many different levels - from the extra-sensory remote viewing to his own personal conflicts and inner wars. Gripping and spell binding reading that will leave you in wonderment that leaves you wanting to experience and understand more.
I took a short class with author Herlosky's mentor Dr. Morehouse in San Francisco, after having read the best selling book "Psychic Warrior" back in 1997. So, I had a fair understanding of what John Herlosky's book was based on; however, he takes it to a very personal and human level. The back story of the inner battles the author goes through makes for great reading.
I strongly recommend this book to all those who wish to seek out some of the mysteries of life - it will time well spent. A FIVE STAR BOOK on any rating system. I have nominated this book for consideration for a national book award from The Military Writer's Society of America. It is that good!

A compelling account of RV training

I don't personally know the author of this absorbing book, but I was attracted to Sorcerer’s Apprentice because I, too, trained with Dr. David Morehouse during the same timeframe. Imagine my surprise when I recognized John Herlosky from some of Dave's remote viewing classes we had shared over a dozen years ago!
Like John, I trained in both Coordinate and Extended Remote Viewing between 1999 and 2003, taking the first civilian Masters Class offered by Dave, as well as the followup Explorer’s group. So I know firsthand the truth of his journey. This is a sincere and truthful recounting of what it’s like to go through this type of training, the challenges, setbacks, disappointments, and the aspirational pinnacles that go with operating on this frontier of knowledge. John’s specific highs and lows, successes and failures, make this a compelling account of what happens when a skeptic challenges his own belief systems and breaks through to new understandings of himself and the universe we all inhabit.
I will always treasure and often revisit this book, which is a important document of the experiences of the first wave of post-Star Gate civilian Remote Viewers and the visionary pioneers who trained us.

The art and science of remote viewing as experienced by a civilian

One can displace a portion of his or her consciousness to view places, events and persons remote in time and space and record the information obtained. This is Remote Viewing. Mind-boggling yes but it is for real! In this book John describes the origins of the methodology, how it was developed by the CIA and made operational under Project Stargate.
Justifiably skeptical at first, John enrolled in a course given by David Morehouse, a former member of Project Stargate. It was rough going at first as he was learning and doing things which were a challenge to his belief system. John went on to master his fears and doubts and eventually became an outstanding remote viewer and an instructor. This well written book takes us on that life changing adventure.
As a graduate of David Morehouse’s courses, I can say that John wonderfully describes a process which is life changing and which brings one to the ultimate conclusion that we are greater than our physical bodies.
