For beginners thinking of starting meditation. Nothing detailed or complicated.

Just like the title says this ebook is for absolute beginners. If you already have experience with meditation and are looking for creative new techniques this ebook is not for you. This is for people who have never meditated in their lives and don't have a clue what it is. Very simple quick ebook.

Most of this is convincing the reader that they can do it. You only need 5 minutes, you can do it anywhere, how ever you feel comfortable, in any position and you don't have to be perfect at it. It takes the mysticism out of meditation and makes it seem more down to earth and obtainable. The main advice for the actual meditation is to release your thoughts as they come into your head. Nothing deep and complicated to learn.

I asked my husband to read this because he is so stressed out and in desperate need of meditation. He skimmed over it quickly turning the digital pages. He said it was kind of boring for him. So I recommend this ebook for beginners who have genuine interest in finding out what meditation is about. If you really want to try this it might give you encouragement and some quick tips to get you started in meditation.

As a practitioner of yoga and meditation I am interested in learning from other people’s experiences, techniques and point of view. Lisa’s book for beginners is simple and concise yet still has something to offer even for experienced practitioners. I enjoyed the weightlifting analogy of a restless mind “It’s like a weight-lifter lifting weights. If they practiced with no weights at all, the practice wouldn’t be much good. Those bouncing thoughts in your brain are your weights.” Traveling the path of mindfulness has been life changing and has enabled me to look at annoyances and stressful situations as opportunities to practice.

I recommend this book as a quick read and you have nothing to lose as the price is a whopping FREE!

even five minutes of meditation a day should help relieve stress

Right after reading a book on meditation is too soon to really review it. There are several ideas here that seem to be helpful for someone just beginning to meditate. Lisa Shea has thought about what questions might come up in the mind of someone interested in trying it out.
