Haunted PA

I only live about a hour and half from Gettysburg so I know a lot of ghost stories from there. I enjoyed this reading of the haunting there. Sarah is a good story teller. I wish she would write a book on WV hauntings. I live in the Harpers Ferry area and we have a few Civil War ghosts too.

Are you a paranormal investigator?

Very interesting book about haunted places in Pennsylvania. The author talks about historical landmarks and the people who lived and died in those places. Haunted places attract thousands of visitors who like the thrill of ghost hunting. If you were one of those tourists, reading this book will prepare you to appropriately choose the places that you would like to visit in your trip to Pennsylvania.
The author, Sarah Ashley, relates the history of the Eastern State Penitentiary, the purpose of its design and the tremendous abuses that were inflicted to the prisoners by the guards and perhaps the emotional impressions of that pain and suffering still lingers in the walls of certain prison cells.
In this e-book, you have plenty of haunted places to read about such as hotels, private homes, hospitals, prisons, cemeteries, colleges and universities. Furthermore, you will learn about battlefields and the hundreds of soldiers who perished in the carnage of war and the ghosts and spirits that haven’t found peace and continue living in the places where they died.

Amazing

Amazing! I had no idea ghosts and hauntings as described in this book existed. Wow! I want to visit Pennsylvania and spend time at each place listed in this book. I especially want to visit the cemeteries. Older cemeteries can reveal a great deal of what took place in a community. For some unknown reason, until reading this book, I hadn't thought about cemeteries and hauntings. The author does an excellent job of including historical data when telling each ghost story. When considering the historical event that took place at a ghost site, one can easily understand why a spirit might remain in a location instead of passing over. The photos are a nice introduction to each haunting. The photos help give a sense of place and help anchor the reader to a particular haunting. The stories are so well written that I felt I was actually in the various areas and experiencing what amateur and professional ghost hunters describe. I liked the Resurrection Mary tales the best. However, each story was interesting. I liked the way I could find information by different kinds of locations: historic homes, schools, battle fields, etc.
